چکیده

Purpose: Stroke; causing sensory, perception, motor loss, affects balance, postural stability and mobility. Position sense of trunk its are important in terms limb functions. Various methods used physiotherapy rehabilitation, including orthotic devices to increase control. This study aimed investigate the immediate effect elastic orthosis on repositioning balance post-stroke individuals. Methods: A total 56, 28 with stroke age matched healthy individuals, were included into study. Repositioning evaluated without a orthosis, using HUMAC NORM isokinetic device, Trunk Impairment Scale, Postural Assessment Scale for Stroke Patients, Functional Reach Tests. Results: There was no significant difference within between groups corset use (p˃0.05). Patients scores did not show change favour both control functional reach test (p=0.013 p<0.001 respectively). Study group showed (p=0.003). Mean differences Test (p˃0.05).Conclusion: The has an some tests, but concluded. We propose examine factors affecting individuals effectiveness new applications accordingly.

Altered trunk position sense and its relation to balance functions in people post-stroke.

OBJECTIVE To determine whether trunk position sense is impaired in people with poststroke hemiparesis. BACKGROUND Good trunk stability is essential for balance and extremity use during daily functional activities and higher level tasks. Dynamic stability of the trunk requires adequate flexibility, muscle strength, neural control, and proprioception. While deficits of trunk muscle strength hav...

Role of Trunk Rehabilitation on Trunk Control, Balance and Gait in Patients with Chronic Stroke: A Pre-Post Design

Purpose: although proximal stability of the trunk is a prerequisite for balance and gait, to determine the role of trunk rehabilitation on trunk control, balance and gait in patients with chronic stroke is yet unknown. Method: fifteen subjects (post-stroke duration (3.53 ± 2.98) years) who had the ability to walk 10 meters independently with or without a walking aid; scoring ≤ 21 on Trunk Impai...

Immediate synergistic effect of a trunk orthosis with joints providing resistive force and an ankle–foot orthosis on hemiplegic gait

Purpose The synergistic effects of a trunk orthosis and an ankle-foot orthosis (AFO) in stroke patients with a hemiplegic gait are unclear. We previously developed a trunk orthosis with joints providing resistive force (TORF) to modify malalignment of the trunk and pelvis and confirmed its positive effects in stroke patients during level walking without an AFO. The aim of the present study was ...

The Additive Effects of Core Muscle Strengthening and Trunk NMES on Trunk Balance in Stroke Patients.

OBJECTIVE To investigate an additive effect of core muscle strengthening (CMS) and trunk neuromuscular electrical stimulation (tNEMS) on trunk balance in stroke patients. METHODS Thirty patients with acute or subacute stroke who were unable to maintain static sitting balance for >5 minutes were enrolled and randomly assigned to 3 groups, i.e., patients in the CMS (n=10) group received additio...

The effect of spinal orthosis on trunk muscle force control in hyperkyphotic elderly

Background: The back extensor muscles are the main spinal supportive factors which function establishes spinal stability and erect posture of the spine. Spine deviation from the ideal alignment, like abnormal increase in the forward curvature of the thoracic spine may cause changes in the trunk muscle activity which can lead to a change in the spinal proprioception. It seems that the corrected ...
